Helen Carter

Funeral services for Helen Carter, age 50, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Hopkins County, will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 28, 2008. Interment will follow at Seymore Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Helen Carter passed away at Titus County Regional Hospital, Monday morning, August 25, 2008. She was born in Greenville, on September 5, 1957, the daughter of Louie D. and Oneta Young Putman. She married Glenn Carter, Sr. He preceded her in death in 2004. Mrs. Carter was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: four daughters, Tonya Kelley of Phoenix, Arizona, Marilyn Biggs of Athens, Glenda Carter of Carrollton and Brenda Russell of Mt. Pleasant; son, Glenn Carter, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two brothers, Louis Putman of Commerce and Ricky Cowan Putman of Sulphur Springs; sister, Rozell Campbell of Novice; grandchildren, Jessica Kelley, Sarah Kelley, Brian Kelley, Amanda Kelley, Brandon Kelley, Isaih Ficklin and Anna Ficklin. She was preceded in death by her parents.
