Helen Bates

A memorial service for Helen Ruth Dixon Bates, age 74, of West Tawakoni will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. No formal visitation is scheduled.
Helen passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Rock Creek Health and Rehab. She was born in Hopkins County on December 16, 1937, the daughter of Walter and Ina Dixon. She was the owner of the 35 Club in West Tawokoni for 33 years.
Survivors include: son, Ronnie Edward Bates and wife, Phyllis, of West Tawokoni; sister, Wanda Goodson; niece, Alisha Goodson Giles; nephew, Joe Ferrell Goodson and wife, Nancy, all of Sulphur Springs and three grandsons, Randy Bates, Brandon Bates and Scotty Bates, all of West Tawokoni.
