Helen Adams

Graveside service for Helen Adams, age 82, of Pickton will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Pine Forest Cemetery with Robert Brown officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Mrs. Adams passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs.

Helen Idona (Clanin) Adams was born on November 17, 1934 in Bluffton, Indiana, the daughter of Russell and Mary (Brown) Clanin. She married Franklin D. Adams on July 24, 1953 in Bluffton, IN, whom preceded her in death in 2014. Helen was a Christian and a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Brown (Charles) of Winnsboro and Penny Steele (John) of Pickton; sons, Jeff Adams and James Adams, of Pickton, Brian Adams (Tandie) of Bonham; grandchildren, Josh, Holly (James), Sarah, Dakota, Brandt, Bryce; great grandchildren, Rylee, Bodie, Nettie, Jedi; brother, Gene Clanin; sisters, Joyce Clanin, Lonnie Hacha and Janet Pinkerton.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brothers, Charlie Clanin and Bill Clanin; sisters, Nancy Bailey, Mildred Grimm, Delores Cutler, Virgie Kilgore and Mary Wolfe.
