Hazel Huie

A funeral service for Hazel Huie, age 76, of Sulphur Bluff, will be conducted at Sulphur Bluff United Methodist Church at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 31, 2012, with Rev. Ed Dodd officiating. No formal visitation is scheduled.
Hazel Huie passed away at Baylor Hospital in Grapevine Friday afternoon, December 28, 2012. She was born in Tira on February 2, 1936, the daughter of Harley Chapman and John Julia (Rogers) Chapman. She married Archie Huie on August 22, 1953. He preceded her in death in 2002. She was a teacher's aide at Sulphur Bluff I.S.D. and a member of Sulphur Bluff United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: daughter, Patty West and husband Charles of Haslet; son, Butch Huie and wife Carol of Celina; two sisters, Scelena Sebastian of Mesquite and Owejia Woodard of Cottage Grove, Tennessee; three brothers, Claude Chapman of Sulphur Springs, Bryant Chapman of Seres, California and Bascum Chapman of Tira; grandchildren, Brandon and Amanda Condor, Clifton Huie, Anna Jenkins and Julian, and Amber Palmer; great-grandchildren: Coltin, Camryn, Caden Condor, Logan Byrd, Jackson and Camryn Jenkins, Sydnie Huie and Jaxon Palmer. She was preceded in death by brothers, Willis, Max, Bill, Fred and J.R. Chapman; sister, Pearl Hale and grandson, Nathan Condor.
