Hazel Cowan

Funeral services for Hazel Cowan, age 83, of Sulphur Springs, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bobby Keller and Cruz Medina will officiate.

Interment will follow services in the Ridgeway Cemetery, with Larry Keller, Everett Smith, Gonzo Mabroquin, Robert White, Dwayne Allen, and Donald Lisk serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6:00 t0 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cowan passed away on Monday morning, February 25, 2008, at Sunny Point Nursing Home. She was born on May 10, 1925, in Yantis, the daughter of Ruben and Pearl Rollins Keller. She married Bert Cowan, in Ridgeway, on August 31, 1963. He preceded her in death in 1986.

Mrs. Cowan was a nurse aide and a member of Sulphur Springs United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Janet Keller, of Sulphur Springs; one daughter and son-in-law, Helen and H. Everett Smith, of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Tammy Weigel, Bob Weigel , Michael Patrick Keller, Tina Allen, Donna Ashby, Mary Ruth Self, and Donald Joe Lisk; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; one daughter, Mary Jane Medina; one great-grandson, Kyle Lisk; one brother, Truman Keller; and one sister, Leona Reed.
