Harold Knight

Funeral services for Harold W. Knight, 86, of Miller Grove will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2009 at Murray-Orwosky Chapel with Bro. Robert Burns officiating. Military graveside under the direction of Hopkins County Military Coalition will follow at Greenview Cemetery with Douglas Knight, Matthew Knight, Randy Williams, Jim Potts, Larry Mabe, and Jerry Lamb serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Sunday evening April 26, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Harold William Knight passed away Friday, April 24, 2009 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Miller Grove, on November 28, 1922, the son of Tracy and Ethel Woodard Knight. He married Claire Michaut on April 4, 1942 in Manchester, NH. She survives. Harold was a retired Air Force Colonel with over 30 years of service. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W., M.O.A.A. and member of South Liberty Baptist Church.
Other survivors include; two sons, Spencer Tracy Knight of Cypress, and David William Knight of Wichita Falls; two sisters, Hardy Williams and LaWanda Kent both of Sulphur Springs; five grandchildren, Douglas William Knight, Matthew Austin Knight, Angelia Lynn Larkin, Katherine Knight, and Kristin Knight; two great grandchildren, Conard and Julian Larkin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
