Harold Kenney

Funeral services for Harold L. Kenney, age 75, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2009, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Seymore Cemetery, with Derek Burgess, Daren Burgess, Jacob Brgess, Naniel Kenney, Adam Kenney and Ryan Kenney serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Nolen, L. J. Sells, Harold Daniel and James Sheifield. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2009, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Harold L. Kenney passed away early Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab. He was born in Hopkins County, on November 16, 1933, the son of Loren David Kenney and Clara Elizabeth (Galloway) Kenney. He married Nellie June George in Greenville, on January 15, 1960; she survives. Mr. Kenney was a machinist for Rockwell International and a member of Seymore Church of Christ. He served in the Army National Guard.
Other survivors include: three sons, Kim Harold Kenney, Mark Leland Kenney and Michael Lynn Kenney; two daughters, Diana June Burgess and Pennie Renee Nolen, all of Yantis; sister, LaVerne Daniel and husband, Harold, of Sulphur Springs; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Kerrie Burgess and Joseph Burgess and two brothers, Troy Kenney and LeVoy Kenney.
