H.A. Robertson

Funeral service for H.A. Robertson, age 95, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 9, 2018 at First Baptist Church, Sulphur Springs, Spence Chapel with Rev. Bruce Welch and Rev. Tommy Johnston officiating.  Interment will follow at Lee Cemetery, Winnsboro.  Visitation will be held one hour prior the service.  Mr. Robertson passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018.

H.A. was born on May 9, 1923 in the Shiloh Community, Delta County, Texas to Nolan and Ruth Robertson. He served in the US. Army where he earned a Purple Heart in WW II, he was a member of the 141st, 136th  Division, stationed in Italy. H.A. married Joyce Lemmond on August 26, 1946 in Commerce. She preceded him in death on February 22, 2015.  He worked for Furr’s restaurants and stores where he retired as manager.  H.A. was a Mason and member of First Baptist Church, Sulphur Springs.

He is survived by his brother, James Robertson; several nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce; sister, Melba Robertson Rushing.
