Guy Davis

A military graveside service, under the direction of the Hopkins County Military Coalition, for Guy Davis, age 81, of Campbell, formerly of Hopkins County, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 31, 2008, at Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Guy Davis passed away Tuesday morning, July 29, 2008, at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. He was born in Slaton, on July 10, 1927, the son of Charlie Charner Price and Dora Ada George Davis. He married Jo Ann Pounds in Lubbock, on March 26, 1963; she survives. Mr. Davis was a retired welder and locksmith. He was of the Church of God faith and served in the United States Navy.
Other survivors include: three sons, Sandy Ray Davis of Benbrook, Danny Alan Davis of Greenville and Charles Brian Davis of Cooper; grandchildren, Crystal Bragg, Michael Davis, Na Coe Ross, Aaron Davis and Lauren Davis; two great-grandchildren, Adysen Ross and Baby Bragg. He was preceded in death by two brothers, H. P. Davis and Shelby Dan Davis.
