Geraldine Pryor

Funeral services for Geraldine Walker Pryor, age 82, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2009, at Evening Chapel CME Church, with Rev. Fergus Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, with serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Stewards of Evening Chapel. There will be no formal visitation.
Geraldine Pryor passed away Friday, December 4, 2009, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Sulphur Springs, on November 26, 1927, the daughter of Clifton A. and Ina Bell Canady Walker. She married Alvis Odell Pryor, in Sulphur Springs, in April of 1947. He preceded her in death on August 27, 1992. Mrs. Pryor retired from Grocery Supply. She was a member of Evening Chapel CME and a Season Saint.
Survivors include: son, Clifton Pryor, and wife, Lola, of Crossfield, TN; sister, Lorine "Jackie" Walker, of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Tiffany & Corey Spigner, Alisha Pryor, and Shadrick Pryor; great-grandchildren, Tamiyah Spigner, Cadyn Spigner, and Mercadez Pryor; special niece, Nona Turner, of Sulphur Springs; Nephews, Juan Deon Walker, of Sulphur Springs, and Christopher Walker, of Ft. Worth; great-nieces, Ashley Deshun Porter, Shateria Nikita Porter, and Ashley Christian Walker.
She was preceded in death by; her parents; infant daughter, Gloria Pryor; two brothers, William Charles Walker and Clyde James Walker; one sister, Nellie Ozelma Walker Hanner; niece, Pamela Davis; two nephews, Bobby Bartele and William Charles Walker Jr.
