Gerald David Cook, 77, of Sulphur Springs died Tuesday, March 18 in Sulphur Springs.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014, at 4:00 p.m. at Brashear Cemetery
.
He was born April 18, 1936 in Brashear, the son of Cecil Paul Cook and Ivy Mae Walker Cook. He was a fireman for Dallas and Tyler and a retired sign painter and he was of the Methodist faith. He served in the United States Marines.
Survivors include two daughters, Marla Gilbreath and husband, Rick, of Yantis and Julie Miller and husband, Doug, of Amarillo; sister, Linda Ward of Sulphur Springs; five grandchildren, Baylee Brown, Andrew Miller, Megan Miller, Adrian Miller and Hannah Miller and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Michael Cook.
