Funeral services for Gary Maynard, age 66 of Sulphur Springs, will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at League Street Church of Christ with Rev. Neal Cochran officiating with Rodney Keller, Glen Hamlin, Bruce Hammegren, Rusty Dameron, J.R. Simms, John McDonald, Jonathan Keller and Eldon Turner serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mr. Maynard passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at his residence. He was born January 9, 1948 in Cooper, the son of Rudolph and Marvelle Armstrong Maynard. He married Sherry Darlene Mitchell on March 18, 1993 in Sulphur Springs. She survives. He was the Owner and Operator of Custom Tree Service in Sulphur Springs and a member of the League Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include: sons, Jerry Maynard and wife, Ginger, Johnny Maynard and wife, Michelle and Brian Maynard and wife, Amber, all of Sulphur Springs and Rodney Maynard of Dallas; daughters, Genny Howard and husband, Michael of Sulphur Springs and Misty Williams of Texarkana; sister, Mary King of Pittsburg; brother, Tony Maynard of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Morgan Maynard, Kasie Maynard, Lauren Maynard, Dakota Maynard, Deanna Maynard, Mason Maynard, Madison Maynard, Blake Maynard, Dayton Howard, Alexis Howard, Kaylee Howard, Robbie Howard, Joey Howard, Christian Truncali, Camryn Truncali, Chad Maynard, Chase Maynard, Destiny Ward, Cameron Ward, Zackery Ward, Zoie Ward, Nate Waldrop and one great-grandchild, Rylan Teague.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Rodney and Jeff Maynard; sister, Sandra Bingham and two grandchildren, Kodi Dawn and Clessy Howard.
