Faye Stracener

Funeral services for Faye E. Stracener, age 72, of Brashear, will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 24, 2008, with Jimmy Don Goldsmith officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery, with Ryan Stracener, Willie Bob Stracener, Lee Roy Stracener, Beau Alcorn, Tanner Alcorn and Mike Stanton serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Morris, Tommy Potts, Colby Hoover and Jim Cimarolli. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Faye E. Stracener passed away Sunday evening, December 21, 2008, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born in the Greenview Community, on June 2, 1936, the daughter of Maurice and Haola Potts McElvy. She married Leeman R. Stracener, in the South Liberty Community, on February 21, 1953; he survives. Mrs. Stracener was a claims manager for Galyean Insurance Agency and a member of the Miller Grove Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: four sons, Rickey Lee Stracener, Randy Ray Stracener, Russell Lynn Stracener, all of Brashear and Dustim Maurice Stracener of Winnsboro; two sisters, Rosemary Morris of Brashear and Janie Middleton of Lake Fork; grandchildren, Ryan Stracener, Willie Bob Stracener, Lee Roy Stracener, Dakota Stracener, Zack Stracener, Rhiannon Stracener, Sam Stracener and Angie Stanton; great-grandchildren, Addison Stanton, McKinlee Stanton and Shaylee Stracener. She was preceded in death by her parents.
