Memorial Service for Fannie Bess (Petty) French, age 104, of Greenville will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at First Baptist Church, Spence Chapel with Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Burton French, Byron French, Robert Snyder, John French, Bill Alford, Don Petty, Dan Petty, Marc Snyder. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mrs. French passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018, in Greenville, TX.
Fannie was born on March 24, 1914, in Como, TX, the daughter of Robert Petty and Audie Taylor. She married Gabriel French in Oklahoma City, OK in 1940. Fannie was a florist, followed by a brief career working in hotels that were managed by her husband. She also spent 25 years in Juniors Sunday School Dept. at FBC- Dallas. She was a member of FBC- Dallas from 1949 to 1985 and most recently a member at First Baptist Church- Sulphur Springs.
She is survived by her son, Larry French and wife Cheryl of Granbury; granddaughter, Leigh Aceves; grandsons, Burton French and wife, Jennifer of Tomball, Byron French and wife, Sarah of Austin; great grandsons, Kevin Culver of Denton, Charles Simeon French and William Emmanuel French; sister Billie Crabb of Paris and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
