F. Long

Funeral services for F. M. Long, age 72, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 6, 2012, with Cindy Norman and Lesa Streeter officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, with Robert Brinkman, David Long, Michael Harris, James Halford, Rick Chasse and Michael Long serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Long, Sam Long and Pete Long.
F. M. Long passed away Wednesday evening, May 2, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Haskell June 19, 1939, the son of Francis Marion Long and Dora Mae (Jones) Long. He married Ethelene Tarver in Odessa on May 13, 1962. She preceded him in death in 2006. He was a retired drilling consultant for Saudi Aramco and a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: daughter, Grace Brinkman and husband, Robert, of Minden, Louisiana; son, David Long of Sulphur Springs; three sisters, Ruby Grover of Orange City, Florida, Juanita Roan of San Antonio and Clara Tucker of Corpus Christi; three brothers, Samuel Richard Long of Throckmorton, Larry Dean Long of Woodson and Pete Long of New Mexico; grandchildren, Heather Brinkman, Danielle Brinkman, Shelly Higgins and Brittney Halford and husband, James and great-grandchild, Pistol Joe Thomas. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
