Evelyn Specht

Funeral services for Evelyn Ilene Specht, 82, of Mesquite, formerly of Hopkins County, will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 28, 2009, with John Bentley officiating. Interment will follow at Nelta Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.
Evelyn Ilene Specht passed away Sunday, January 25, 2009, at her residence in Mesquite. She was born in the Addran Community, on February 15, 1926, the daughter of Arbie and Ellen Karney Wilhite. She married Ray E. Specht in Dallas, in December 1955. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Specht worked in retail for James K. Wilson Clothing. She was a member of Christian Care Church of Christ.
Survivors include: three sisters, Edith Sanders of Irving, Beulah Godfrey of Sulphur Springs, Grace McClendon of Mesquite; brother, Troy Wilhite of Garland; sister-in-law, Bobbie Wilhite of Sulphur Spring and granddaughter, Amber Specht of Willis. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Gary Paul Specht and brother, Jerrel Wilhite.
