Eva Twombly

Eva Twombly, age 97, of Sulphur Springs, passed away Saturday afternoon, November 8, 2008, at Carriage House Manor. She was born in Lydonville, Vermont, on June 12, 1911, the daughter of William and Mary Godbout Gerard. She married Henry Twombly at Westbrook, Maine, on September 2, 1929. He preceded her in death in 1986. Mrs. Twombly was an owner of a restaurant. She was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include: two daughters, Ellen Nail of Dunnellon, Florida and Evelyn Winship of Davie, Florida; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Robert W. Twombly and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Florida.
