Emma Bass

Graveside service for Emma Bass, age 87, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Sulphur Springs, TX. There will be no formal visitation. Mrs. Bass, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Sunny Springs Nursing and Rehab.

Emma Bass was born on February 18, 1930 in Clarksville, Texas, the daughter of Charlie Rose and Bertha Mae (Stevens) Rose. She married William Horton. She later married Bob Toye; he preceded her in death. Then, she married Merle Bass; he preceded her in death. She was an inspector for H.D. Lee Company and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Bass is survived by: son, Billy Glenn Horton of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Jason Horton, Billy Horton, Jr., Tony Horton, and Shawn Upchurch; seven great grandchildren; niece, Beatrice Burkett; and nephew, Jerry Rose.

She is preceded in death by: son, Larry Horton; sister, Pearl Rose; and brothers, Sam Rose and John Rose.
