Elvis Price

Funeral services for Elvis Ed "Eddie" Price, age 50, of Celeste and formerly of Sulphur Springs, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Annie Wagoner will officiate.

Military graveside services will follow in the Mt. Sterling Cemetery, under the direction of the Hopkins County Milliatary Coalition. Pallbearers will be Chad Knotts, Scott Patterson, Chris Price, Airman Carissa Boyd, Zak Shaw, Cole Shaw, Airman Charles Boyd, Amberly Johnson, Michael Rife, Meredith Patterson, and Crystal Bowers.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January8, 2008, at the funeral home.

Mr. Price passed away on Saturday evening, January 5, 2008, at Medical City Hospital in McKinney. He was born in Mt. Pleasant, on December 17, 1957, the son of Elvis and Nina Ruth Hoover Price. He married Sherry Spoonemore, in Sulphur Springs, on May 30, 1980. She survives.

Mr. Price was a sales associate for the Farmers Co-op. He was of the Pentecostal faith, and served in the U.S. Navy.

Other survivors include: four sisters, Glenda Knotts of Greenwood, Sherrill Patterson of Sulphur Springs, Mitsey Kerns of Eufaula, Oklahoma, and Bitsey Luckett of Emory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvis Price and Nina Ruth Cooksey; one sister, Carrie Lee Price; and one niece, Brandy Patterson.
