Elston Petty

Funeral Services for Elston Petty, age 58 of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2014 at Murray-Orwosky Chapel with Dr. Joel Tiemeyer officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Elston Petty died on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Rock Creek Health and Rehab.
He was born on April 26, 1956, the son of Gilbert Erwood and Oleta Marie Stracener Petty in Hopkins County, TX.
Survivors included: wife, Sylvia Petty of Yantis; son, Jarred Hooker of Salt Lake City, Utah; daughter, Amy Henderson of Winnsboro; four grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
