Elaine Ashby

Memorial services will be held for Ruth "Elaine" Ashby, 80, of Sulphur Springs, on Saturday March 20, 2021 at Shooks Chapel, TX Hwy 154 S.  Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 4:00pm with interment following. Elaine passed away Friday, Feb 26 at Hunt County Regional Hospital surrounded by her sons and daughters-in-law.

Elaine was born on February 6, 1941 in Margarita, Colo'n Panama to Sandford and Ruby Mann. She married Billy E. Ashby, July 10, 1959 (the love of her life) and she was of the Christian Faith. Elaine was a retired Supervisor from the Daily News Telegram.  She found beauty and solace in her handcrafted works of stained glass.  She was a devoted wife, mother and proud grandmother and great grandmother.  She loved her constant companion and beloved dog Red.

Elaine is survived by her sister Rita Adams, children Ronald Ashby and wife Cynthia, Michael Ashby and wife Tammy, grandchildren Brandon Ashby, Jessica Weeks and Christopher Dollar and eight great grandchildren.

Elaine is preceded in death by her husband Billy and her sister Sylvia Kibart.
