Edwin Perimon

March 26, 1924 — June 11, 2013

Funeral services for Edwin Perimon, age 89, of Sulphur Springs, have been scheduled for 10:00am Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Spence Chapel, with Dr. Jim Barksdale and Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. Pallbearers include Earnest Perimon, Thom Perimon, Bill Perimon, Michael Perimon, Capt. Clinton Cooper (USAF), and Ed Thornton. A visitation will be held at Murray- Orwosky Funeral Home, Friday June 14, 2013 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.


Edwin Perimon was born in Telephone, Texas the son of Clarence O. and Edna Perimon. He married Joyce Clifton in Idabel on January 9, 1945. She survives. He was a pastor and missionary for the Southern Baptist Convention. He served in the Navy during World War II. In honor of his service, the Hopkins County Military Coalition will perform graveside rites. He passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at his residence in Sulphur Springs.


Survivors include, daughters, Brenda Baker, and husband, Darrell, of Silver Springs, MD, Marlyne Perimon, of Paris; son Edwin Larry Perimon, and wife, Donna, of Fremont, CA; grandchildren, Rachel Reiter, Laura Barlow, Joyce Jones, Lydia Cooper and Clinton Cooper; brother, Joe Perimon; sister, Helen Jones; six great grandchildren; one great- great grandchild. He was preceded in death by one brother, Earnest Perimon and one sister, Joyce Perimon Byers.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Southern Baptist International Mission Board.
