Duval Friddle

Graveside services for James Duval "Dude" Friddle, age 84, of Sulphur Springs, will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Reilly Springs Cemetery with Rev. Larry Baxley officating. Pallbearers are Doug Franks, Henry Stone, Jarrod Friddle, Joel Friddle, Terry Woolverton and David Woolverton. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Duval "Dude" passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Louis & Peaches Owen Heart Hospital in Tyler. He was born January 7, 1931 in Hopkins County the son of Loyd and Evelyn Martin Friddle. He married Shirley Clark in 1952. She preceded him death in 1996. He married Joyce Coker in 1996. She survives. He retired from Texas Power & Light after 36 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and of Baptist faith.

Other survivors include: daughter, Deborah Penkava, and husband, Paul, of Reilly Springs; son, David Friddle, and wife, JoDana, of Mt. Vernon; brother, Glen Friddle, and wife, Sharon, of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Jarrod and Carrie Friddle, Amanda and Brian Donald, Joel and Karmon Friddle; six great-grandchildren; step-sons, Terry Lee Woolverton and wife, Carolyn of League City and David Allen Woolverton and wife, Mary of Lafayette, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janice Alexander.
