Dorothy Carr

Funeral services Dorothy Fay Carr, formerly of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at Black Oak Baptist Church, on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Black Oak Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.

Dorothy Fay Carr passed away at Plano Medical Center in Plano on Tuesday, December 28, 2010. She was born in Nevada County, Arkansas on February 1, 1927, the daughter of George Washington Moody and Polly Pearl (Willett) Moody. She married John Carr, Jr. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Carr was a homemaker.

Survivors include: two sons, Randy Carr and David Carr; four daughters, Peggy Carr, Teresa Carr, Judy Carr and Jennifer Carr; her mother; five sisters, Katie Baker, Thelma Elliott, Margaret Coates, Sue Harris and Lottie Foster and numerous grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Marvin Moody.
