A graveside service for Delma Howard, age 67, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Little Hope Cemetery in Winnsboro, with Rev. C. J. Duffey officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Timothy Dale Moody, Danny Paul Johnson, Jr., Keith Butler, Robert Butler, Amber Baxley and J. J. Freeman. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Murray-Orwosy Funeral Home.
Delma Howard passed away Wednesday morning, November 14, 2012 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Winnsboro, on August 9, 1945, the daughter of J. C. Hood and Mauline (Vaughn) Hood. She married Billy Wayne Howard who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and she was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: two daughters, Cindy Smith and husband, David, of Lone Grove, Oklahoma and Margaret Sparks of Winfield; two sons, Gordon Moody and wife, Becky, and David Moody, all of Jacksboro; sister, Mary Christopher and husband, Glen, of Chico; two brothers, Lot Hood and wife, Nora, of Chico and Gordon Hood and wife, Vonda, of Park Springs; grandchildren, Austin Moody, Matt Moody, Lindsey Moody, Krandy Jones, Ray Moody, Reasha Moody, Tim Moody, Amber Baxley, Kathy Baxley, Robert Butler, Keith Butler, Emily Smith, Joey May, Brian Johnson and Danny Johnson and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Coren Moody; daughter, Mary Moody, two brothers, Joe Hood and Billy Ray Hood; sister, Virginia Ann Dickson; grandson, Charles Moody and great-grandson, Avery Morgan.
