Della Goldsmith

A funeral service for Della Goldsmith, age 86, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 10, 2013, with Rev. Bradley Edge and Rev. Lee Huff officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeway Cemetery, with Don Chapman, Jerrel Chapman, David Burns, Joseph Burns, Johnathon Goldsmith, Chris Vike, Arthur Luna and Hunter Burns serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Underwood, Dwayne Baker, Ladarius Harrison and members of Calvary Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 9, 2013 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Della Goldsmith passed away at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital Friday, September 6, 2013. She was born in Birthright on November 21, 1926, the daughter of Jim Lewis Griffith and Izella Minnie Page. She married J. L. Goldsmith in Sulphur Springs on December 15, 1946. He preceded her in death in 2002. She was a retired seamstress at H. D. Lee Company and a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 60 years.
Survivors include: son, John Goldsmith and Kitty; daughters, Glenna Burns and Denny, all of Como; Vikki Reed of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Johnathan Goldsmith and Amanda, Misty Baker and Dwayne, Amanda Goldsmith, David Burns and Deborah, Julie Vike and Chris, Joseph Burns and Jennifer, Amy Luna and Arthur, Melanie Cline and Janet Reed; great-grandchildren, Maisie Harrison, Cassidy Luna, Morgan Burns, Hunter Burns, Baylie Vike, Emalie Vike, Madison Vike, Ben Vike, Elijah Burns, Peyton Burns, Charles Holder, Erich Holder, Shelby Holder, Mary Haddock, Gabby Goldsmith, Ally Goldsmith, Jaylee and James Lewis Goldsmith and one great-great-grandchild, Kylee Kapri Harrison. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Chapman and Lillie Mae Burks and one brother, Jimmy Griffith.
