David Deihl, age 72, of Sulphur Springs, passed away Saturday Morning, April 11, 2009, at Sulphur Springs Health & Rehab. He was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, on December 27, 1936, the son of Harry Glenn Deihl and Thelma (Steward) Deihl. He married Darby Joy Lanford in San Antonio, on June 29, 1985; she survives. Mr. Deihl was a retired master sergeant from the United States Air Force. He served in the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam War. He was also retired from I.B.M.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Devon Deihl of Sulphur Springs and Patricia Deihl of San Antonio; three sons, Glenn Deihl, Michael Deihl, both of San Antonio, James Deihl of New Orleans; three sisters, Darla Gearhard, Dori Johnson, both of Auburn, Indiana and Debbie Thomas of Garrett, Indiana; grandchildren, Lily Grace Deihl, Boomer Deihl, Kaleb Benish and Ronnie Deihl. He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Brittany Star Deihl.
