Connie Briggs

Funeral service for Connie Briggs, age 74, of Cumby, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2024 at County Line Baptist Church in Miller Grove, Texas. Interment will follow at Miller Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be head one hour prior from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at County Line Baptist Church. Ms. Briggs passed away at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs, Texas on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.

Connie Tipps Briggs was born on May 19, 1950 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Buster and Faye (Wren) Tipps. She was married to Jimmy Briggs until his passing. Connie worked in a wood factory and was a teacher’s aide for many years. She was a Christian and attended the Baptist Church.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Misty Smallwood (Undray) of Emory, Texas; granddaughters, Sky Smallwood of Emory, Texas and Kinslei Smallwood of Sulphur Springs, Texas; brothers, Stevie Tipps (Cheri) of Miller Grove, Texas and Monty Tipps (Venessa) of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Buster and Faye Tipps; and husband, Jimmy Briggs.
