Funeral services for Colten Cordell, age 23, of McKinney, formerly of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2012, with Rev. Steven Alexander and Kyle Cordell officiating. Interment will follow at Como Cemetery, with Shane Stubbs, Carlos Chargoy, Dustin Francis, Kyle Cordell, Dewayne Culver, Raymond Anderson and Vincent Abrego serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Chase Beck, Chad Beck, Richard Hernandez and Joshua Duke. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Colten Cordell passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Newport, Arkansas, July 26, 1988, the son of Jason Keller and Sonya Graham. He was co-owner and project manager of A-1 Texas Fencing and he was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: his mother, Sonya Cordell; his father, Jason Keller, both of Como; brother, Kyle Cordell of Sulphur Springs; grandmother, Diane Woodard of Como; aunt, Tina Duke; uncle, Joshua Duke, both of Sulphur Springs; great-grandmothers, Nora Dell Bentley of Sulphur Springs and Margaret Carpenter of Como; nieces and nephews, Hannah Cordell, Kylee Cordell and Kaleb Mills. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Elmo Bentley, L. D. Woodard, Billy Carpenter and cousin, Jody Mitchell.
