Funeral services for Clarence "Pat" Patridge, age 88, of Sulphur Springs will be 4:30 pm, Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Murray-Orwosky Chapel with Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. Military graveside under the direction of Hopkins County Military Coalition will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Mike Norton, John Patridge, Glenn Patridge, Allan Blanton, and Mike Williams serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6 till 8 pm, Monday, March 22, 2010 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Clarence "Pat" Patridge passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler. He was born in Hopkins County, TX on April 27, 1921, the son of George Thomas and Mary Virginia Thomas Patridge. Clarence married Florence Hodges in Sulphur Springs on January 7, 1946. She survives. He was a retired crane operator for Lone Star Steel. He served in the United States Army during WWII, earning many awards including a purple heart. Clarence was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sulphur Springs.
Other survivors include: daughter, Patti Elaine Drewry of Mountain Home, AR; grandchildren, Kimberly Nicole Seawright, Shannon Elaine Drewry, Christen Michelle Drewry, and William Patrick Neal Drewry; great-grandchildren, Cierra Jade Williams, Layton Ray LaCoe, Jasmyne Elaine LaCoe, Willliam Jadyn Justice Drewry, and Nathaniel William Josef Drewry.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, John, Arvil, Melbert, O.B., and Arving Patridge; two sisters, Winnie Nichol and Melinda Reeves.
