Chris Carter

Funeral services for Chris Carter, age 43, of Emory, will be held at First Baptist Church, at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 26, 2009, with Dr. Raymond Barber and Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery, with Bill Bailey, Mike Rhodes, Mike Carter, Jimmy George, Craig Long and Kevin Vickers serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Brody Koon, Glen McCurdy, Brad Holland and Glen Friddle. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Chris Carter passed away at his residence, Monday, March 23, 2009. He was born in Ft. Worth, on March 27, 1965, the son of Charles Eldon Carter and Barbara "Boots" (Long) Carter. Mr. Carter was a landscaping engineer for L3 in Greenville. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his parents, of Brashear, and two daughters, Danyelle Carter and Christal Carter, both of Sulphur Springs. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Edith Carter and J. T. and Leta Long.
