Cheryl Morris

Funeral service for Cheryl Morris, age 62 of Mahoney, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev. C.J. Duffey officiating. Interment will follow a Mahoney Cemetery with Gregg Hoelscher, Kim Kenney, Bobby Morgan, Bryan Cooey, Ryan Cooey and Moose Worley serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Passed away on January 14, 2023 at her residence.

Cheryl was born on January 10, 1961 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to James and Jane (Gulledge) Newkirk. She married Johnny Morris on April 21, 1980 in Hugo, Oklahoma. Cheryl was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, John; son, Ransom Morris and wife, Heather; daughter, Vivian Morris; grandchildren, Kylie Morris, Madison Morris, Kinsley Morris, Abby Hale and Joshua Mangrum; mother, Jane; sisters, Stacy Hawk and Erica Vaughn; brother, Walt Newkirk.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, James; son, John Allen Morris and siter, Juanza George.
