Charles Underwood

Graveside services for Charles Riley Underwood, age 65, of Sulphur Springs will be held Monday, September 19, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Smyrna Cemetery, in Winnsboro, with Rev. Ronnie Spence officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, September 19, 2016 at 10:00 am - 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Mr. Underwood passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital-Sulphur Springs. He was born July 16, 1951 in Sulphur Springs, the son of Robert and Ruby (Brown) Underwood. He married Frances Ann Mayo, December 19, 1968 in Como. Charles was a retired auto mechanic and a member of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Tammy Diane Underwood of Sulphur Springs; son, Tony Underwood of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Jessica Luna, Jennifer Luna Campos, Jamie Luna and Tatum Johnson; great-grandchildren, Kasper and Kynsli Luna-Campos; Collin and Parker McKee; and Azazel Ortega; brother, Floyd Underwood, Jesse Underwood and Steve Underwood, all of Sulphur Springs; and sister, Susie Robbins of Sulphur Springs.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William Ray Underwood and Robert "Bob" Underwood; and sisters, Betty Jean Beadles and Johnnie Nell Underwood.
