Funeral services for Charles Edward "Chuck" Spencer, age 40, of Yantis, will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 5, 2009, with Rev. Lee Huff and Rev. Mike Eason officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery, with Taylor Pace, Tony Jenkins, James Humphrey, Tim Harry, Brad Daughtery, Josh Kirby, Luke Kirby and Aaron Cooke serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Clint Spencer, Ivan Spencer, Archie Worsham, Dusty Burns, Allan Hardin and Roddy Watson. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2009, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Charles Edward "Chuck" Spencer passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Sulphur Springs, on March 10, 1969, the son of Charles Spencer and Elizabeth Yelverton Spencer. He married Kimberly Reneé Watson-Freelen, in Durant, Oklahoma, on January 6, 2006; she survives. Mr. Spencer was a pipeline engineer and he was of the Baptist faith.
Other survivors include: son, Ty Hunter Spencer of Sulphur Springs; stepson, Kason Freelen; daughter, Kameron Freelen, both of Yantis; mother, Elizabeth Morgan and husband, Kenneth; father, Charles Spencer and wife, Glenna, all of Sulphur Springs; half-brothers, Clint Spencer of Dallas, Ivan Spencer and wife, Martha, of Raleigh, North Carolina and Alicia Joslin and husband, Asa, of Sulphur Springs. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Johnny Wesley, Annie Louise Kitts Spencer and Victor and Beulah Yelverton.
