Funeral services for Charles "Mr. Bubbles" Lockwood Hodges, age 71, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Triumph Christian Center at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 24, 2011, with Rev. Kevin Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Posey Cemetery, with Phil Lockwood, Bob Lockwood, Josh Lockwood, Lonnie Massey, John Jetton and Tyler Samson serving as pallbearers. William Lockwood will serve as honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Charles Hodges passed away at his residence Sunday, March 20, 2011. He was born in Versailles, Indiana, March 16, 1940. He married Karen Winter; she survives. Mr. Hodges was an electrician and a member of Triumph Christian Center.
Other survivors include: four daughters, Melissa Jetton, Karin Massey, both of Sulphur Springs, Christina Hodges of New Boston and Dawn Thorne of Brashear; two brothers, Phillip Lockwood of Sulphur Springs and Bob Lockwood of Florida and grandchildren, John Thorne, Anthony Thorne, Christopher Thorne, Kaitlan Thorne and Matthew Thorne; Ashley Burkham, Amber Hodges, Charles Hodges, Anna Richardson, Christopher Hodges, Charles Massey, Richard Massey, Kara Hodges, Kayleena Hodges, Lance Hodges, Raythan Hodges and Karen Hodges. He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Arthur and Betty Hodges.
