Charles Bybee

Funeral services for Charles Bybee, age 85, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, with Shane Carrington officiating. Military graveside services, under the direction of the Hopkins County Military Coalition, will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, with Bobby Bybee, Jr., Jason Bybee, Justin Blackburn, Donnie Blackburn, Dell Bybee and Michael Wesley serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Charles Bybee passed away Friday evening, April 13, 2012 at North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills. He was born in Paris, Texas, on October 27, 1926, the son of Elbert Charles Bybee and Ada (Smallen) Bybee. He married Dorothy Helen Penland in Wichita Falls on July 16, 1966. She preceded him in death in 2011. He was a retired foreman for APAC Road Construction and he was a member of Southside Church of Christ. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was an active member of V.F.W.
Survivors include: two sons, Bobby Bybee and wife, Ruthie, of Ft. Worth and Ira Nolan and Gail Drury of Dallas; daughter, DeLeon Bowman and husband, Don, of Moore, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jason Bybee, Bobby Bybee, Jr. and Michael Wesley and great-grandchildren, Emilee Vaughn, Erin, Brynlee and Aiden Bybee. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Porter Bybee, Travis Bybee and Palmer Bybee and two sisters, Robbie Delve and Evelyn Bybee.
