Cecilia Ann Hill

On February 15, 2025, Ann Hill, age 76, of Sulphur Springs, TX passed away peacefully in her home and is now present with her Lord and Savior.

Ann was born on March 31, 1948 to Cecil and Majorie Ray in Elk City Oklahoma and was raised in Texas. After graduating from Sunray High School, she worked at the Sunray drugstore. She met her love, Ray Hill, dated, and eventually married on July 10, 1966. She and Ray initially raised their family in Amarillo, TX and later in Plano, TX. As a devoted wife, and affectionate, caring mother, Ann was a dedicated and loving homemaker. She was a faithful and devout follower of Christ.

Ann was predeceased by her parents, Cecil Ray and Majorie Elliott Ray. She is survived by her husband, Darrell Ray Hill; children, Shana Green and husband Tim, Sheila Gallagher and husband Brian, and Stephen Hill; grandchildren, Mike Green, Kate DeLeon and husband AJ, Jack Gallagher, Emma Gallagher and fiancé Cole Jackson, Bethany Hill, Lucian Hill; and great grandchild V DeLeon. Ann also leaves behind a loving and supportive group of relatives, including a sister and brother, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends and neighbors.

Ann was a loving woman with a large, gracious heart. She had a passion for studying the Word of God and in years past, shared her wisdom by serving in various ministries in the church, including the Ladies’ group. Her humble approach to ministry came with a thoughtful attitude and without judgment.

In celebration of her memory, we turn to Ephesians 2:8-9, For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Ann will be laid to rest at Shooks Chapel Cemetery in Hopkins County, Texas outside Sulphur Springs. There will be a small private gathering of immediate family on Sunday, February 23, 2025.
