A graveside service for Cathi Bunch, age 67, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 9, 2009, at Brashear Cemetery, with Brother B. J. Teer officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
Cathi Bunch passed away Saturday, January 3, 2009, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Kennett, Missouri, on June 3, 1941, the daughter of Uell and Julia Pool Stockton. She married Billy Wayne Bunch in Yuma, Arizona, on December 29, 1973. He preceded her in death in 2002. Mrs. Bunch was a homemaker and had worked at Walmart. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: daughter, Tami Martin of Sulphur Springs; son, James Alan Grigsby; step-son, Billy W. Bunch, Jr.; three step-daughters, Susan Bunch, Nancy Callahan and Judy Patton; two brothers, Bill Stockton and Rod Stockton; four sisters, Ev Alvis, Jo Manassero, Erline Shelby and Mary Jane Stockton; brother-in-law, Charles Bunch; five sisters-in-law, Lola Stephenson, Patsy Darlin, Bobbee Bell, Jean Bolton and Shirley Burney; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother; son, Lorne Grigsby and granddaughter, Christina Bunch. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
