Casey McMahan

Funeral services for Casey McMahan, age 20, of Sulphur Springs, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs. Rev. James Edge will officiate.

Interment will follow services in Restlawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Chase Helm, Jake Morrill, Cameron Fatland, Mitch Self, Scott Stewart, Chance Massey, Josh Riley, Alex Aguilar, Matthew Y'Barbo, Trey Neighbors, Jayden Spencer, Dustin Gideon, Brian Nix, Landon Mays, Jared Glenn and Seth Northcutt. Honorary pallbearers will be the Sulphur Springs Astros baseball team.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Casey passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2008, in Mesquite, Nevada, at the home of a friend. He was born in Sulphur Springs, on September 14, 1987, the son of James Kendall and Karen Kay Brown McMahan. He attended and played baseball for Pratt Community College, in Pratt, Kansas. He worked with his father at McMahan Auto Air and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: his parents; a sister, Krista McMahan, all of Sulphur Springs; and grandparents, Ella Brown, of Sherman, Poe Brown of Horseshoe Bay, and Patsy McMahan of Sulphur Springs.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Kenneth McMahan.
