A funeral service for Carrie Martin, age 86, of Conroe, formerly of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Judge Robert Newsom officiating. Interment will follow at North Hopkins Cemetery, with Grandchildren and Great grandchildren serving as Pallbearers. Visitation is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014
Carrie Martin passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 at her residence. She
was born in Palestine on August 27, 1927, the daughter of Emory Earl Johnson Sr. and Vera Mildred Smith. She married William Charles Martin Sr. on March 1, 1944. He preceded her in death in 1998. She was a retired Dairy Farmer owner.
Survivors include: two daughters, Elizabeth Jackson of Conroe and Carolyn Nabors of Cooper; grandchildren, Chris Jackson, Julie Johnson, Martin Nabors and Fletcher Nabors; great grandchildren, Taylor Jackson, Blake Jackson, Jordyn Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Jackson Bell, Hudson Nabors and Jentry Nabors.
She was preceded in death by her son, William Charles Martin, Jr.; great grandson, Cade Johnson; two sisters, Jeanie Bourland and Billie Williamson and brother, Emory Earl "Buddy" Johnson, Jr.
