Bobby was born on January, 20, 1935 in Enloe, Texas to Truett and Ruth (Blevins) Carrington. He graduated from Enloe High School and went to East Texas State University before joining the Army. Bob married Brenda Cain on June 3, 1955 in Cooper. After his military duties, he graduated from Baylor University.
Bobby may not have had a written "bucket list", but he lived his life to the fullest. From dairy farming, helping people with his physical therapy, taking his kids on camping trips to owning a golf course; he made every moment count. In the army, he and Brenda were able to travel to many countries and make life-long friends. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was loved and respected by everyone who knew him.
Bobby is survived by his eldest daughter, DeDe Lovett and her husband Danny, a son, Eric Carrington and his wife Phyllis, and his daughter, Amanda Abonza; six grandchildren, two brothers, Jerry Carrington and his wife Susan and Ted Carrington and his wife Judy, sister-in-law Cathy Rochwalsky and her husband Klaus, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Truett and Ruth, and his wife Brenda Cain Carrington. Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all.
A special thank you to Don, Billie, and Bob's "Buddy" Marty Young whose attentive care
allowed him to live out the last few years in his beloved Mount Joy.
Another thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Hopkins Memorial Hospital, Legacy Hospice for their loving care and support, and At Home Healthcare for years of caring service.
