Funeral Services for Bobbie Sloan, age 83, of Sulphur Springs will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park with John Lloyd Potts, Dwayne Asbill, Ronald Blanton, Harold Kizer, Herman Ray Woodall, and Michael Woodall serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are James Ratliff, Douglas Ratliff, and Gary Potts. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bobbie Sloan passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Hopkins House. She was born on March 27, 1929 in Daughtery, TX. She was the daughter of Erving and Nettie Richards Potts. She married Ollie E. Sloan in Ft. Worth in 1948. He preceded her in death in 1987. She was a secretary, a homemaker, a military spouse, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
Survivors include: daughters, Gail Kizer of Sulphur Springs, and Judy Woodall and husband, Jack of Klondike; sisters, Grace Slatter of Bonanza, and Joyce Blanton of Emory; brother, Buddy Potts of Tyler; grandchildren, Harold Kizer, Herman Ray Woodall, Teresa Nguien, Michael Woodall, Cody Kizer, and Randall Woodall; great grandchildren, Justin Kizer, Brandon Woodall, Jacob Woodall, Regan Woodall, Grant Baker, Collin Baker, Halle Nguien and Macie Woodall.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and sisters, Viola Ratliff, Ollie Asbill, Elemor Potts, Exa Adams, and Nannie Dougherty; and brothers, Lloyd Potts, Neal Potts, Nealon Potts, Ervie Potts, Perk Potts, and Walter Potts.
