Bob Harris

Funeral services for Bob Harris, age 81 of Quitman, will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Winnsboro House of Praise with Bro. Gary Hampton officiating. Burial will follow at Black Oak Cemetery with Kevin Foster, Jay Foster, Seth Foster, Sam Foster and J.D. Hallonquist and Erik Lynn serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.


Mr. Harris passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Winnsboro. He was born on May 31, 1935 in Bloomfield, Iowa, the son of Nathan Lee and Ruth Marie (Stuffledean) Harris. Bob married Frances Sue Harris in 1975, she preceded him in death. He was a retired welder.

Bob is survived by daughters,Linda McCommons, Sarah Comeau, Tina Lamb, Terry Lynn and husband Gary of Burleson; son, Bobby Harris, Jr.; brothers, Bill and Ray Harris; 23 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, son-Kenneth Clifton Henson, Jr.; brother-Joe Harris and sisters-Helen Felix and Marie Mundell.
