Funeral Services for Bill Littlefield, age 82 of Denton, formally of Sulphur Springs will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 11, 2014 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Dittmar and Chaplin James Clinkscales officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Kenny Allen, Mark Harris, Don Littlefield, Michael Littlefield, Dean Mobley and Paul Harris serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Noah and Nathan Stone. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Littlefield passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at The Sterling House in Denton. He was born on January 22, 1932 in Franklin County, TX the son of A.C. and Frauline Horne Littlefield. He was married to Jo Sims for over twenty-seven years. She survives. He was a retired contractor and was of the Baptist faith.
Other survivors include: daughters, Janet Littlefield Basham of Sulphur Springs, Billie Littlefield Stone and husband, Scott of Denton; sisters, Helen Harris of Olney, TX, Ardith Lucky of Ridgeway and Virgie Allen of Powderly; brothers, Frank Littlefield and Thurman Littlefield, both of Emblem; grandchildren, Christy Basham Plumlee, Rebecca Basham Dudley, Madison Stone, Noah Stone and Nathan Stone; great-grandchildren; Christian Plumlee, Jonathan Plumlee and Caden Dudley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Janae Littlefield, brother, Bunny Littlefield and son-in-law, Norman Basham.
Memorial can be made to the MS Society in honor of his daughter, Janae.
