Funeral services for Beaulah Griffin, age 95, of Sulphur Springs, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 1, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Michael Moore will officiate.
Interment will follow services in the City Cemetery, with Jeff Moore, Murry Hill, David Moore, Bill Williams, and Dan Phillips serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2008, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Griffin passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at Sulphur Springs Health & Rehab Center. She was born on November 3, 1911, in Birthright, Texas, the daughter of John Franklin and Viola Ellen McCormack Palmer. She married Oral Griffin, on November 17, 1946, in Reno, Nevada. He preceded her in death in 1994.
Mrs. Griffin worked as a salesperson in ladies clothing and was an accomplished seamstress. She was was a member of League Street Church of Christ and was a former member of the Tanti Club.
Survivors include: a sister, Norene Moore and husband, Joe, of Sulphur Springs.
Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lois Callaway; and two brothers, Lester and Ralph Palmer.
Memorials may be made to Hospice at Memorial.
