Benny Parker

Funeral services for Benny Earl Parker, age 72, of Como, will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home, at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 16, 2009, with Brother Roy Dittmar officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeway Cemetery, with Gary Don Ferrell, Robert Stout, Mark Bussell, Clifford Horton, Davis Jumper and Buddy Ferrell serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Benny Parker passed away Monday afternoon, July 13, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Hopkins County, on January 28, 1937, the son of O. F. Parker and Carrie (Ferrell) Parker. Mr. Parker was a salesman and was of the Presbyterian faith.
Survivors include: son, Mike Parker and wife, Alice, of Sulphur Springs; daughter, Shirl Lee and husband, Richard, of Commerce; twin brother, Bobby Parker of Como, brother, James Parker of Sulphur Springs and grandchild, Amber Rebecca Lee. He was preceded in death by son, Danny Earl Parker.
