Funeral services for Beatrice Kay Price Franks, age 60, of Como will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Como Cemetery, with Brandon Edwards, Henry Stone, Scotty Price, Chris Price, Asa Joslin and Joe Don Joslin serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm, Monday, May 4, 2009 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Beatrice Kay Price Franks passed away Saturday, May 2, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Hopkins County, on April 22, 1949, the daughter of Thedis "Jack" Price and Jessie (Speed) Price. She married Douglas Franks at Como, on January 1, 1982; he survives. She was a homemaker, seamstress and a quilter and a member of the Baptist faith.
Other survivors include: her mother; two sons, Jimmy Rutledge and wife, Mindy, of Como, Richard Franks and wife, Lisa, of Sulphur Springs; three daughters, Rhonda Joslin and husband, David, of Dike, Lisa Brookshires of Lone Oak, Kimberly Kemps and husband, Dave, of Indiana; three brothers, Toby Price, Randy Price, both of Sulphur Springs and Pete Price of Lake Fork; two sisters, Julie Miller of Brinker and Lana Edwards and husband, Robert, of Pickton; grandmother, Beatrice Price of Ben Wheeler; 15 grandchildren, Brent Rutledge, Tristyn Rutledge, Dustin Joslin, Hailey Fouse, Kason Douglas Joslin, Angela Franks, Holly Perez, Lori Franks, Lexi Franks, Chad Brummit, Chasity Brummit, Casey Brookshires, Cary Brookshires, Aaron Langdon and Makayla Rogers and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
