Annie Audrey was born on December 28, 1936 in Pineville, WV to Charlie and Flora Farley. She married Thomas Cook in West Virginia. Mrs. Annie Cook spent her last 13 years in Como, Texas, but she spent most of her life in West Virginia. In whatever community she lived, her mission was to love on and make people happy. She grew up on a farm and enjoyed gardening and all that went with it - canning, cooking, and baking. Her great joy as to see people smile when they received just the right gift from her; be it a homemade treat; quilt, crocheted doilies, needle-worked crosses, etc. Her husband, Mr. Tom Cook, shared her penchant and passion for handicrafts, and together they enjoyed making works of art out of everyday ordinary things. In a sense, they were recycling long before recycling was "cool." Another mission in life for her seemed to be that of a caregiver. She has helped some people enjoy living a little more comfortably than they might have otherwise. In turn, as she needed care, she delighted in making crocheted little trinkets, scarves, or house shoes.
Now she is able to rest in the arms of Jesus, be reunited with her family and loved ones, and beginning her eternal life in heaven. Her parents, Charlie and Flora Farley; her brothers and sisters Sylvia Wooten, Merilee Marie, Gertrude Acord, Elvia Farley, Curtis Farley, and Bridgetta Vespa; her husband, Thomas Cook; and many of her friends have been waiting for her.
She is survived by her sister, Carolyn Kegley of Garland, Texas and many nieces and nephews.
