Annie Alberts

A funeral service for Rowena Alberts, age 91, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at Spence Chapel, First Baptist Church, at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 12, 2013, with Rev. Fred Lewis, Rev. Tommy Johnston and Rev. Wayne Moss officiating. Interment will follow at Nelta Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (10:00 a.m.)
Rowena Alberts passed away Monday evening, April 8, 2013, at her residence. She was born in Tira, the daughter of Thomas E. and Lora M. Moss. She married Haskell Alberts in Sulphur Springs on June 11, 1938. He preceded her in death in 2002. She was the owner of Alberts Repair Shop and a member of First Baptist Church. She was a lifetime member of Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include: three daughters, Virginia Ann Alberts, Betty Alberts Immel both of Sulphur Springs, Mary Louise Glenn of Gainsville; grandchildren, Tana Glenn Moody, Mark Glenn, Donna Immel Lightfoot and Larry Lee Immel and great-grandchildren, Ally Moody, Andrew Moody, Jordan Glenn, Jarrod Glenn, Jackson Glenn, Bailey Lightfoot, Lexie Lightfoot, Kaleb Lightfoot, Trey Lightfoot and Parker Immel. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Moss, Arvey Moss and E. E. Smith. Memorials may be made to the Nelta Cemetery Association and/or Hospice at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
