Funeral services for Alan "Squiggy" Hill, age 39, of Sulphur Springs, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Fred Randles will officiate.
Interment will follow services in Restlawn Memorial Park, with David Townsend, Gary Townsend, Jerry Daughtry, Sam McCarty, Benji Flanery, and Scott Cooper serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Russel Flanery, Brad Bills, Chris Page and Joshua Stieber.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at the funeral home.
Mr. Hill passed away in an automobile accident, on Saturday, February 9, 2008. He was born in Irving, Tx, on April 21, 1968, the son of Alan and Nelda Harper Hill. He married Rebecca Stieber, in Sulphur Springs, on March 27, 1993. She survives.
Mr. Hill was a truck driver for Republic Services. He was of the Baptist faith.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Alana Dawn Hill, of Sulphur Springs; his mother, Nelda Blevins; a brother, Michael Hill, both of Rowlett; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Shirley Stieber of Sulphur Springs; his grandmother, Shirley Thurman of Garland; and his father, Alan Hill, Sr., of Quitman.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Jerry Blevins.
